As you may already know, the NSW Health/Government have updated their current restrictions for those living in Newcastle due to a recent outbreak of COVID-19.

Temporary changes to how we operate.
Any scheduled auctions we have will now take place online. Our agency will use “Auction Now” (https://auctionnow.com.au) to allow everyone to still participate. If you are considering purchasing a property at an Auction, we recommend you create an account and “follow” the property you intend on bidding on. Ideally, we would love to come to your home to conduct a free property appraisal. However, we acknowledge this may not be suitable for everyone. Currently, we are permitted to do a one-on-one appraisal in person (if you wish) but would also like to mention this can be conducted digitally via facetime or any virtual video chat program. Our team have access to a range of resources that will still allow us to accurately determine the value of your home. If you are thinking of selling, we are here to help.
A condition of the recent announcement has meant that open homes and onsite auctions are no longer allowed until further notice.
Our Industry body REINSW has confirmed upon seeking advice from NSW Health that private inspections are allowed, however, only one real estate agent and one buyer may attend the property following the making of an appointment for that purpose. We have also introduced virtual pre-recorded tours of our properties that we are able to send to potential buyers. This way you can view the property from the comfort and safety of your own home. Any one-on-one inspection organised will require the practice of all safety precautions our community are already familiar with (social distancing, use of masks and sanitiser).
Our property management team are working hard to ensure both our owners and residents are still accommodated.
We already offer a range of virtual tools to get properties leased in record time (online applications and virtual inspections) and this won’t change.
In order to maintain safety and abide by the m2 rule, we will be allowing our residents to conduct “Resident Assisted Routine Inspections”. This process is easy and manageable and will require residents to supply thorough images and descriptions of their properties the same way our agents would do if we were there in person. We have used this method in the past to great effect and are confident in the process.
All ingoing and outgoing inspections will still go ahead and are allowed under current NSW health advice. Your portfolio manager will touch base and guide you through the process to make this as easy and efficient as possible.
